The Agave Garden will be located across the main path from Saguarohenge.
It is under construction with some preliminary dirt work while the final design progresses.
It will feature dozens of agaves planted in interesting landscape designs.
A donated octopus agave has been planted near the main trail. It is blooming and seeds and bulbils will be available to the public when ready.
A Sign will be placed next to this agave when the seeds and bulbils (minature plants on the bloom stalk) may be taken by the public.
Please DO NOT remove seeds, pups, cuttings from any plants in the park unless clearly marked giving permission to do so.
||Octopus Agave in Bloom:
The bloom stalk is shown about half as tall as it will get (3/16/12)
It will have seeds and bulbils on the stalk to propogate new agaves.
Most Agaves will die after creating the bloom stalk as this one will, no you can't prevent it.
